Thank you for the editorial regarding the U.S. Postal Service ("Stamp of approval," June 6).
There is not one panacea for reining in the cost of the USPS. However, with all the other delivery options including digital, perhaps it is time to move beyond daily mail delivery to every other day. Some communities would receive mail Monday, Wednesday and Friday and others on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Commercial accounts requiring daily delivery would pay for the additional service.
The postal service is invaluable and I appreciate our postal route carrier and the postal clerks in Crownsville. They do a great job.
