The pope has a duty to speak out on climate change

The pope has spoken out on climate change ("Pope Francis frames climate change as moral issue," June 18). This is embarrassing to some politicians who have been using denial of climate change to advance their careers. They say that the pope should refrain from speaking on political issues. I suppose some people think that subject like greed and the poor are political issues, but if the pope can't speak on such subjects, what is his reason to be?
