Why did The Sun never call O'Malley out for pandering?

On Wednesday's editorial page, one of your headlines described Gov. Larry Hogan as pandering to his political supporters ("Hogan's 'rain tax' straw man," Feb. 11). Pandering is defined as gratifying or indulging (usually an immoral or distasteful desire). Politics has seldom seen the likes of individuals who govern from opinion polls or the leanings of their political base like Martin O'Malley and Barack Obama. Yet in eight years of Mr. O'Malley holding the governor's office and in six years of Mr. Obama's presidency, your editorial board has never characterized them as pandering. Disgraceful.
