Centrowitz deserved better Sun coverage

On Saturday, world-class runner and 2008 Broadneck High School alum Matt Centrowitz Jr. became the first American to win the men's 1,500 meter Olympic gold medal since 1908 ("Broadneck grad Matthew Centrowitz races to gold in 1,500-meter run," Aug. 20).

He's also the son of a 1976 Olympic runner. I expected that his extraordinary accomplishment would be reflected by a front-page photo in The Sun on Sunday.

Instead, as I saw a back-page-worthy piece about a gentlemen who supports a categorically unqualified demagogue who is running for president.

You gave Mr. Centrowitz a front-page shot in the sports section, but a former high school standout who accomplished something that hadn't been done in more than a century deserved better.

Donald Trump doesn't trump Mr. Centrowitz.
