Letter writer John Schlaffer of Parkville was correct regarding The Sun's coverage of the injured Anne Arundel County police officer ("Officer shot, story buried," April 16). Why was the story buried? Also, why was the race of both the officer and the criminal not mentioned in the original coverage ("Annapolis man in custody, charged with shooting Anne Arundel County police officer," April 11)?
Does the paper only list the race when the incident is white on black? I'm asking that as a question that I am able to answer: Yes.
Wake up reporters and report equally.
