As a practicing Christian who appreciates and respects the diversity of the world's religions, I was disheartened by the full-page advertisement with the words "In God We Trust" on the back page of the front section of the paper July 4.
On the day that we celebrate our political independence, may there also come a time when we celebrate the diversity and truths of the gifts of the Spirit among all the cultures and faiths of people around the world.
