Pundits and journalists at their desks need to leave their world of words and interact with the masses. As an 82-year old grandmother and retired teacher, I plan to be at the next Occupy Wall Street demonstration in my area. I have no body-piercing and certainly wouldn't qualify as a radical.
Time for everyone to take off their blinders and see the facts. There have been 30 years of accelerating unhealthy income distribution, too many years of artificial living standards built on credit, too many years of unfunded, unnecessary war, too many years of commitment to capitalism without rules, too many years of "individual liberty" trumping serious thought about how our society could live well together and within our means.
