Tea party Republicans crossed a line

The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, is the law of the land, passed by both houses of Congress and affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court. The tea party Republicans are acting like a child who throws a temper tantrum in a grocery store because her mother won't buy her a candy bar ("A damaging tantrum," Oct. 2).

There is a constitutional way to change legislation. Taking the budget of the United States hostage is not the way to govern. Since the tea party Republicans don't understand or accept the constitutional way of doing the country's business, in the next election voters should replace them.
