Thomas Schaller's attempt ("Is President Obama the world's worst socialist?" Sept. 4) to use a statistical analysis of damage to British aircraft in World War II to validate his assertions that complaints about "the record numbers of people applying for food stamps" is somehow akin to "bloviating" is nothing more than verbal sleight of hand on his part to divert attention from President Barack Obama's goal of "fundamentally transforming the United States of America."
