In response to Marine General Robert Neller's vow to fix the nude photo issue ("Marine leaders vow to fix problem that led to nude photos scandal," March 14), it's fair to ask, should the Marines responsible for this sexual assault and harassment be subjected to a formal court martial? Perhaps the commandant, in his promise to stop this outrageous lack of respect toward mostly female Marines, will choose to fix this issue with much tougher, more serious consequences. Blaming "boys will be boys" and business as usual will continue to deeply hurt our community and will promote future sexual assaults.
It is my hope that General Neller will draw a clear and serious boundary and that the guilty Marines will be subjected to a court martial. If not, perhaps this general should resign!
