Unfortunately, contrary to letter writer Al Eisner ("Obama should be impeached for meddling with Israeli elections," March 31), the blatant meddling in the recent Israeli election by President Barack Obama, where funds and personnel were supplied to oppose Benjamin Netanyahu, does not equal an impeachable offense.
As for Nino Saviano's commentary ("Respect the office, if not the man," March 31), which contends that while we may not respect the president, we should respect the office, unfortunately, in the six years that President Barack Obama has occupied the office, he has demeaned that position. In his administration, the office and the man cannot be separated, as he has used his presidency to appease the enemies of democracy and insult our allies, now culminating in favoring a disastrous agreement with Iran, no matter what the terms are.
