One of the most chilling revelations in recent reports about the National Security Agency's covert surveillance of domestic phone and Internet traffic is the fact that judicial review of this activity is being carried out by a secret court ("The union is preserved, but what of liberty?" July 2).
It appears we the American people now have our very own Star Chamber.
