Nobody gets killed when Jesus is mocked

In response to Faheem Younus' article "Just because you can ridicule Prophet Muhammad doesn't mean you should" (Jan. 13), I would like to say that the crux of his argument stopped in paragraph three. Other groups do not kill when their sacred figures are mocked. Nor do they put people on lists to kill when something hurtful is said about these sacred figures. We are all sensitive about what we revere, but we respect others' rights to ridicule without killing. This is called freedom of speech, and that is why we will defend one's right to ridicule even when it offends us.
