While some people will take their knowledge to the grave, Sen. Barbara Mikulski has realized the importance of sharing her wisdom ("Role models and mentors, what would we be without them?" Aug. 17).
I am a Social Security and veterans disability attorney in Baltimore, and I have sought Senator Mikulski's assistance in the progress of claims many times.
She has always been willing to see what she can do to help. I fear that Ms. Mikulski is a one of a kind whose likes we won't soon see again.
