With all due respect to President Obama, he just doesn't get it ("Obama and the Arab spring" May 20). His suggestion that Israel negotiate back to the pre-1967 war borders is ludicrous and probably the equivalent of national suicide. Our dear Middle Eastern "friends" will only be satisfied with the borders in effect before 1948 — the year that the State of Israel was established.
