It was so good to see Manny Machado back in the Baltimore Orioles lineup, and he certainly came back with a bang, but one thing worried me and that was Manny saying that he would do it again ("Manny Machado returns from suspension with no regrets, helps Orioles top Rays," June 24).
Manny, put the whole episode behind you. You have no need to "save face" because you already have the team's respect and your fans love you. Think about all the young baseball players who are looking up to you and dreaming about making it to the majors. Whether you like it or not, you are now in a position to affect their attitudes for better or for worse.
I know you will do the right thing.
