Animal shelter no laughing matter

I shook my head in disgust, not at the lawsuit regarding the Baltimore County animal shelter on which The Sun reported but at the flippant remark by Don Mohler, the county spokesman and chief of staff for County Executive Kevin Kamenetz ("Residents sue Baltimore County over animal shelter conditions," Jan. 2).

But then the fish smells from the head. I've been in the presence of the glib and highly excitable Mr. Kamenetz when he, too, has treated serious issues lightly! Mr. Mohler should be given the responsibility to be the front man to publicly demonstrate to the Baltimore County residents that, indeed, the government-run shelter is clean and the animals receive proper food and medical care.

Wise guys tend to disappear when the facts prove their cheap remarks to be without substance.
