Post-Labor Day school a cool idea

Gov. Larry Hogan has announced that Maryland's public schools will open their doors after Labor Day in future school years.

Gee, I would think you global warning alarmists would readily support cramming as many school days as possible into the cooler months ("Spring break could be cut," Sept. 2).

As for the teacher "professional" days, they could simply be scheduled for after the school year ends for the students. And then we'll see how important they are.
