Congressional Democrats questioned Kushner's security clearance as Secretary of Homeland Security John F. Kelly, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and some GOP lawmakers investigating Trump's ties to Russia defended Kushner.

The stench of greed, dishonesty, and illegality is growing around Jared Kushner, the president's son in law and top adviser ("As White House defends Kushner, experts question his back-channel move," May 28). It is beyond belief that Mr. Kusher met with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak (with Michael Flynn also in attendance) and proposed setting up a secret and secure communication channel between Trump's team and the Kremlin — and also proposing to use Russian diplomatic facilities in the U.S.

How did Jared Kushner get away with lying on his top secret security clearance? (At age 36 he cannot remember meeting with Russian diplomats only several months ago?) The American public needs to know the reason for the attempt to set up a covert communication channel with Russia.

Isn't this illegal? In 1953 the Rosenbergs were executed for selling secrets to the Russians, and Russia and communists were considered our adversaries! Why is no immediate judicial action being taken against Jared Kushner, or at the very least why hasn't his security clearance been revoked? It is clear our democracy is in danger!
