I was greatly saddened to read of the death of Maryland Institute College of Art associate dean Scott Kelly ("Scott G. Kelly," Jan. 30).
Scott was an unusual individual who sought people out, drew them in and made them feel as if what they were doing was the most important thing in the world — a rare and, in my experience, nearly unique quality in a human being.
The MICA community and all those who knew him have suffered a great loss.
