Why does Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz continue to claim that he has not raised taxes since being elected ("Repeal of 'rain tax' requirement yet to trickle down to most area homeowners," April 19).
My property taxes increase every year due to a sleight of hand by Mr. Kamenetz. It is a simple process: The state tax assessor raises the property tax assessments, but Mr. Kamenetz fails to reduce the tax rate to ensure a constant yield from our property.
Any reporter or editor should be able to see through Mr. Kamenetz's scam since he raises the budget yearly with his claim of no tax increases.
The Sun should stop reporting such claims, which are substantially flawed.
