The Sun's coverage of Maryland's September jobs report fails to acknowledge that the job gains had no healthy impact since the few private sector pluses were again offset by thousands of new government jobs — 4,900 in September — which further bloated the government sector payroll and deficit spending ("Economists see mixed signs in Maryland's September jobs report," Oct. 21).
As a registered Democrat, I see the upside to 4,900 newly created obligated Democratic voters, but as a documented grandparent, I shudder to view the debt mess being left to my family's emerging adults.
