How simplistic does one have to be to blame the crises in the Middle East on Israel ("Netanyahu wants war," March 5)?
Commentator Adil E. Shamoo makes no mention of the lack of good government and the unemployment of young people in the surrounding Arab countries. Nor is there any mention of their dictatorships, massive corruption, human rights abuses and treatment of women.
Whatever the issues between the Arab citizens of Israel and the government of Israel, to compare Israel with ISIS is reprehensible. The Israelis are not hunting down and murdering men, women and children as ISIS is doing.
Mr. Shamoo is not writing as an analyst but as an individual who appears deeply prejudiced against Israel.
