Why Israel belongs to the Jews

There can be no question about the centrality of Israel to the Jewish and Christian religions, but the Muslim claim is tenuous to say the least.

While there are numerous mentions of the land and its sacred role in the Christian and Hebrew religious texts, there are none in the Koran.

Mosques have been built in many lands, and the Al Aksa mosque in Jerusalem that sits on the site of the First and Second Temples of Judaism is not unique. Mosques were constructed on the sites of both churches and synagogues. Others were changed from what originally were Christian and Jewish houses of worship to mosques (as happened in Turkey).

As a child I remember there was always a contribution box for Palestine to be used by the Jewish National Fund to purchase land that is called Israel and the Palestinian territories. The latter is a name high-jacked by the current Arab population, which historically and religiously is not indigenous to that area.
