There's good reason not to trust Iran — or Democrats

Most people agree there is a real problem with any relationship with Iran ("Negotiating with Iran," April 3).

In the past they have lied about working toward a nuke, where their facilities are, how any places, people and pieces of equipment they have working on projects. Most importantly, they declare peaceful intentions while also calling for our deaths. They see no problem with lying to us, since we are the hated infidels.

But there are two other problematic relationships where lies are constantly involved and both make it difficult to believe any deal made by this administration.

Democrats have shown a propensity to lie to us. Former President Bill Clinton lied under oath about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and Hillary Clinton lied about Benghazi and her e-mail records.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid lied about the tax payments of his Republican opponent and President Barack Obama lied to us all about what he promised to do while in the White House.

When any problem comes up, he constantly knows nothing about it while he seems to know everything about race relations, economics, and golf courses all over the world.

But of course he believes that he knows better than anyone else what America needs to change. So lying is nothing when achieving his goals.

Radical Islamists believe they can lie to infidels. Democrats believe that they can lie to stupid citizens. Mr. Obama believes he can lie to the American people because they simply don't know what's good for them.

No wonder many Americans don't trust any of the parties in this deal with Iran.
