I arose Thursday morning to TV reports that 68 Democratic members of Congress won't be attending the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the United States.
Do they think by their absence they can belittle Donald Trump, who the American people have elected? In reality their actions only show how small they themselves are. They are like a person standing before a full-length mirror trying to erase the image it reflects.
Those 68 Democratic members of Congress won't be missed, however. Their seats will be occupied instead by men and women who want to be part of our great democracy at work. God bless America.
