No path to citizenship for illegal immigrants [Letter]

Regarding reader Naira Soghbatyan's recent letter to the editor on immigration, it's my opinion that all illegal immigrants should be immediately deported back to where they came from ("U.S. blocks paths to legal immigration," Nov. 13).

These individuals are certainly not needed for the menial jobs such as "cleaning our toilets and doing the dirty jobs Americans won't ever do."

Why aren't such jobs assigned to some of the 47 million hungry U.S. citizens who are in our bread lines? The answer is probably because it would be too expensive in the long run — to which I say, "how sad indeed."
