Soon, the Baltimore County Council will meet in a work session and then vote on county personnel checking the immigration status of those who come in contact with the authorities ("Immigration enforcement could become hot county issue," May 23). The bill is being sponsored by Republican council members but is receiving a negative feedback by some of the Democratic members, particularly Vicki Almond and Julian Jones.
Maybe they have not heard about what happened in the United Kingdom recently or the crimes MS13 gangs are causing in the United States. There is an election next year, and these council people standing in the way of our right to be free of people entering our country illegally and who provide cover for those committing illegal acts must be removed from office.
