Thanks for letting readers know about the mere 32 units that can be attributed to Baltimore City's inclusionary housing trust fund ("Despite rule, few affordable units created in new developments," Dec. 27).
These numbers are very disappointing in light of the hundreds of people who advocated on behalf of the trust a few years ago. We represented church groups, civic and neighborhood associations as well as architects and developers.
It was very uplifting to participate in these meetings. But little has come of those efforts. Here's hoping the city will add more funds to the trust and restructure it in a way that brings affordable housing to low-income residents.
