Hogan backs developers, not teachers

So, Gov. Larry Hogan wants to roll back the septic rule ("Rollback of septic system requirements raises questions about bay impact," Aug. 23). This will lead to an even dirtier Chesapeake Bay.

He cut out the rain tax — could that have made the tragic Ellicott City flood worse? He is cutting money to education — two years in office and two massive cuts there. Teachers are leaving in droves and who can blame them when they barely make above minimum wage when you figure 70-hour weeks and paying for school supplies out of their own pockets?

Seems to me that we desperately need better education in Maryland, not cuts. But this fits the Republican scenario — to control the populace keep them dumb so let's cut education budgets.
