I found the front page article regarding Gov.-elect Larry Hogan and his views on Baltimore's economy interesting and amusing ("Hogan says city should drive state economy," Dec. 30).
On the one hand, the businessman in Mr. Hogan sees an opportunity to improve Baltimore and thereby Maryland. On the other, the Republican politician in him offers the usual party mantra that we'll do it with less spending and "everything" that has gone before has just been a waste.
You know, we'll advance the city and state with smoke and mirrors.
