Health insurance rate hikes were inevitable

Why is The Sun only now reporting on skyrocketing health insurance costs of the Affordable Care Act ("Marylanders face hefty rate increases for Obamacare," Sept. 9)?

The Sun knew that insurance industry economists had predicted that sharp rate increases were inevitable. Yet those warnings were always printed below the fold or buried on the back pages.

The Sun, like all liberal media, was in the tank for President Barack Obama and his liberal minions in Congress. The consequences of his plan for the average citizen mattered not because at the end of the day we are all sheep to be shorn in the advancement of socialism.

Regardless of how one feels about Donald Trump, the election of Hillary Clinton would guarantee that average people continue to be abused by policies that spread the wealth not from the wealthy but from those of us who pay the bills for others who won't pay a dime.

I'd rather take a chance and vote for the unknown over Ms. Clinton. A vote for Hillary is a vote for an America where hard-working, middle-class citizens pay all the bills.
