The Sunday edition of The Sun carried a nearly full page ad asking support for Rep. Andy Harris and his fight to protect Medicare ("Don't believe the ads: Andy Harris is no friend of Medicare," Aug. 15).
The ad was sponsored by the American Action Network, a notorious dark money lobby group that has unfairly claimed tax exempt status to keep its donors identity a secret. Who is this group and why should we believe anything it claims as the truth? The truth, of course, is that Andy Harris and the Republican Party have for years been trying to gut Medicare and turn it into a voucher program that will in effect kill the program.
