I was disappointed there was no mention of the 12 Warrior Proud citizens and the eloquent testimony of Terri Greuter Hartmann in your report on the Harford County Council meeting ("Harford council passes county executive's FY 2016 budget," May 27).
Ms. Greuter spoke of the council's priorities and noted that not only were schools never mentioned but that a ranking of the 50 best schools in the state was last week and none was in Harford County.
Warrior Proud parents and friends are trying to get the new county executive to continue already completed plans for a new middle/high school project initiated by his predecessor and voted on by the council in the past.
We are attending both the board of education and the County Council meetings in our maroon Warrior Proud T-shirts to demonstrate our needs and concerns. Havre de Grace Middle School is old and has many HVAC problems, minimal computers and other equipment lacks.
By reporting on our efforts, you can help us impress on the current county executive of Havre de Grace's students and their parents.
