If Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, House Speaker Michael E. Busch and Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller actually believe banning guns from the state's public colleges and universities will make them safer, why not take the next logical step ("Guns would be banned from Maryland college campuses under legislative leaders' bill," Feb. 10)?

These three should get together with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and the City Council to pass a law making the public areas of Baltimore City gun-free zones.

I'm confident the city's murder rate would then drop dramatically.
