Biased writing on guns

As a Sun subscriber who is also a law-abiding gun owner, I found your recent editorial about gun owners' concerns highly offensive and hypocritical ("Badly targeted gun gripes," Sept. 10).

You criticize gun owners for being upset that sensitive personal information was released to unauthorized agencies or individuals. Yet the person who wrote the editorial did not even have the courage to share his or her name with the public. What hypocrisy!

The fact is that Gov. Martin O'Malley instructed the Maryland State Police to break the law by sharing our private information with other agencies. Gun owners are aware that the MSP is still the agency that is performing the actual background check. The problem is with the information on form 77R being wrongfully shared.

I am really tiring of the one-sided, biased writing that appears in The Sun.
