Iran deal opponents seek war

The editorial, "A 'good enough' agreement" (July 24), correctly supports the nuclear deal between the West and Iran which will help to bring peace and stability to the Middle East, will bring both economic and political benefits to the U.S., and is supported by 60 percent of the American people. The entire world community, except for Israel and its warmongering Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are in favor of this accord.

Recently, 100 former U.S. diplomats and ambassadors sent a letter to President Barack Obama praising the deal with Iran and pointing out all of its benefits. Newspapers around the world support the deal, including the Israeli Haaretz which titled an editorial, "Give the Iran nuclear agreement a chance."

Unfortunately, the critics of this deal, both in Israel and the U.S., are hoping to destroy it, knowing that the alternative is a U.S. war in Iran which is their real objective but would be a disaster for America.
