If the debate on global warming has been decided in favor of climate change skeptics, as Richard Haddad suggests ("Get past alarmism on global warming," Oct. 26), it is not apparent from information available on the web. Even a cursory search reveals dozens of scientific, newspaper and magazine web sites that flatly contradict his undocumented assertion.
To take just one example, Richard Muller, a physicist at the University of California, Berkeley and a former global warming skeptic, recently wrote in the Wall Street Journal (Oct. 21) that his study of the data indicates there is overwhelming scientific evidence in favor of global warming.
Mr. Haddad may be right about global warming, but his contention that the debate is over is clearly wrong.
