Your editorial "Ginsburg v. Trump" (July 13) takes Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to task for expressing her opinions about Donald Trump. I don't agree with that position.
Normally, yes, justices should not take sides in a partisan issue. But these are not normal times and Mr. Trump is not your normal candidate;he is a dangerous one. His position on immigrants is bigoted, his position in foreign affairs is xenophobic (foreign leaders throughout the free world are reported to be scared out of their wits of a Trump presidency), his position on women and minorities is prejudiced, and he generally is full of empty bluster and egocentric rantings. He has to date failed to express any serious and coherent policy position on any subject. So it is the duty of every patriotic American, especially those exercising authority, to take a vigorous stand against Mr. Trump — from Supreme Court Justices to kindergarten teachers.
