Years ago my parents hosted a party similar to the one that has been on your front page for two days ("Gansler says breaking up teen party was not his job," Oct. 23).
The rules were strict. All keys were collected, and no one was allowed to leave with fresh alcohol in their veins. Anyone who felt uncomfortable being there was welcome to leave. And anyone there who didn't care to drink was under absolutely no pressure to do so.
Today many of those who attended that party are prominent doctors, lawyers and elected officials. That party was going to happen with or without my parents being on board. They sensed that and did the right thing.
Anyway, Mr. Gansler now has name recognition not just in Maryland but nationally thanks to Jay Leno, "The Today Show" and "The View."
What's the name of that other guy he's running against?
