Does Marvin Finley ("The moral decay of the Md. GOP," March 19) notice that at the time of the Founding Fathers, slavery was legal, women could not vote, many people could not read or write, life expectancy was decades less than it is currently, women died in childbirth, diphtheria and other controlled diseases killed many people, the large majority of our ancestors lived in Europe, etc. Ah to return to that pristine time when the water was pure and sky was clear of airplanes, and everyone went to a Christian Church (there were few Jews to uphold the Judeo portion of the Judeo-Christian values).
