NRG is welcome in Md., but not its air pollution

From the tone of his recent op-ed, NRG Energy's Lee Davis appears to believe that environmentalists are out to get his company ("NRG committed to clean air in Md.," May 11).

Not so. What we actually want is quite simple: For NRG to either install current technology pollution controls or switch to cleaner fuel by 2020 — just as they are doing at their facilities in other states.

Why does the company think it's OK to use the lungs of Maryland citizens to filter its pollution rather than install the same current-technology pollution controls they are using elsewhere?
