The Sun is biased against female candidates

The Sun continues to endorse male candidates when more qualified, more experienced and more accomplished female candidates are in the race.

First, the paper did not endorse Laura Neuman, who was clearly the better choice in Anne Arundel County. She brought integrity back to the county executive's office during her tenure over the last 18 months.

Then, in an editorial that made absolutely no sense, The Sun failed to endorse Courtney Watson after calling her a gifted public servant whose only drawback was the risk she would continue the progress made by outgoing County Executive Ken Ulman.

Is Howard County doing so poorly that it needs new leadership? We think we are a great county and every measure proves we are right.

The Sun seems to have fallen into institutionalized gender bias. In this day and age it is inexcusable to show such blatant bias. Your readers deserve better.
