Dulaney High needs help

As a parent advocate for Dulaney High School, I continue to see invested community leaders like Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot ready to improve crumbling school facilities ("Parents want school improvements; Kamenetz asks their help to kill unrelated tax bill," March 11).

I've personally witnessed their concerns and commitment to work together toward funding these expensive renovations. It's not about making Dulaney "look pretty" or become updated, rather it's about safety. At Dulaney, we don't have high-paid lobbyists or connections to make this overdue renovation occur. We do have civic leaders present, visiting and witnessing a top-notch school filled with students and staff who are faced with daily safety hazards.

As a mom, I'll continue to contact our government for help. So far, the county and the state are on our side. Have faith, Baltimore County!

Oh, and Gov. Larry Hogan, we are patiently waiting for your return call.
