Dixon-Norris, the outlaw ticket

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's firing of Police Commissioner Anthony Batts was a day late and a dollar short. This was no doubt a political move for the upcoming election.

Yet people have suddenly become so forgiving of former Mayor Sheila Dixon ("Moving Baltimore forward," July 13). They have forgotten she was convicted of misdemeanor crimes. If Sheila Dixon does become our next mayor, perhaps she will appoint former Police Commissioner Ed Norris. He was only convicted of numerous felony charges and served time in jail. So what if he can no longer own and carry a gun!
