A double standard for Dixon and Clinton?

Former Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon registered to become a write-in candidate for mayor of Baltimore. Dixon lost the Democratic primary to state Sen. Catherine E. Pugh. (Baltimore Sun video)

Your editorial on Sheila Dixon's write-in campaign for mayor left me shaking my head ("The lesson of Sheila Dixon's write-in campaign," Oct. 11).

You refused to endorse Sheila Dixon because of her "inability to articulate true remorse for the ethical lapses that forced her from office." Yet you endorsed Hillary Clinton, who has committed offenses that left sensitive government information vulnerable to hackers.

Ms. Clinton has apologized for using a personal e-mail account for State Department business. I am certain she is aware of the difference between an e-mail account and an e-mail server. She acted as she did in order to hide something.

In light of the information coming from Ms. Clinton's account, I think The Sun should either rescind its endorsement of her or apologize to Ms. Dixon for refusing to endorse her bid for mayor.

Also, I would love to see an article explaining to letter writer Qiyin Emurian that Donald Trump did not threaten to jail Ms. Clinton because she disagrees with him but because she has committed acts that have already put others in jail.
