The recent editorial regarding the pepper spray incident at the University of Maryland, "A setback on diversity" (May 26), is just another example of The Sun not recognizing the obvious. This situation could have been avoided if the young woman who answered the door of the apartment had let the campus police enter instead of denying them entry.
Did the young woman have something to hide inside the apartment? It's probable that diversity and inclusiveness had nothing to do with this unfortunate occurrence, but a lack of cooperation with, and respect for, the authorities did.
