Yet more Democrat love in The Sun

Once again, The Baltimore Sun shows it is in the tank for the Democrats ("Debate shows Dems as grown-ups," Oct. 20). The commentary by left-winger Jules Witcover declaring the adult character of the party compared to the kiddie carnival put on by their Republican counterparts is pure liberal thinking.

I'm not sure what he was watching during the Republican debates, but the questioning posed to the Republican candidates was clearly designed to pit them against each other. "Mr. Y, Mr. X said this, what do you think about it?" "Mr. X, Mr. Y said this about you, how do you respond?" The moderator pitted the candidates against each other rather then asking them specific questions, unlike the softball questions about policy asked by CNN's Anderson Cooper.

What we did learn from the Democratic debate was that Sen. Bernie Sanders wants the government to give everything away with no real valid plan to pay for it other than increasing taxes on everyone. Hillary Clinton, in response, wanted to try to give away more, again with no real plan on how to pay for it. There was one question about Ms. Clinton's emails that Senator Sanders jumped on, saying no one wants to hear about anymore. It seems the neither Senator Sanders nor Mrs. Clinton care about the lives that were lost at Benghazi, which is what the root of the email investigation started with.

Then we have our own Martin O'Malley spouting about solar panels and windmills with an angry attitude about what is important. His anger was probably because he could not even poll in the teens in his own state. He was barely more of a bump on the debate log than the other two whose names I won't even mention because they were that important to the debate.

If Mr. Witcover wants to go gaga over his buddy Vice President Joe Biden and the Democrats, give him as small a column as possible but do not allow him to comment about the political party he obviously hates.
