The efforts of the Democratic congressmen to limit access to assault weapons and guns is woefully inadequate. Omar Mateen attained his weapons legally and he was not on a "no-fly list." Despite numerous FBI investigations, he was allowed to carry concealed firearms ("Maryland Democrats among those at House gun control 'sit in," June 22).
Many terror attacks do not involve the use of guns. The terrorists of 9/11 who killed more than 3,000 people only used box cutters. Congress has to put an end to the continued catastrophic effects of worldwide Saudi sponsorship of Wahhabi terrorism including ISIS and al-Qaida. We need to end the cover-up of the Saudi sponsorship of the 9/11 hijackers and reopen a full investigation and prosecution of the networks that create terrorists and support and protect them.
Replace the FBI because of its continued failure to prevent and completely investigate those responsible for major terrorism attacks that have occurred in America, including 9/11 and the Boston Marathon bombing. Demand your congressman support House Resolution 779 introduced by Rep. Walter Jones seeking to make public the currently secret "classified 28 pages" of the Joint Congressional Report on the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
