Make a deal where everyone wins

It is hard to believe that the Democrats and Republicans can't come up with the following as a way to break the logjam in D.C.:

The GOP agrees to this year's budget, the updated debt ceiling and the immigration reform law passed by the U.S. Senate.

In return, the Democrats agree to delay the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate by a year (but people can still sign up; it just not mandatory), delete the 2.3 percent medical device tax and agree to a balanced 2015 budget with two-thirds through cuts and one-third through tax increases to get there.

Everybody is a winner and nobody loses too much.
